Ingredients

  • 2 cups all-bran cereal
  • 4 cups bran buds
  • 2 cups hot water
  • 3 cups sugar
  • 1 cup butter
  • 4 eggs
  • 1 quart buttermilk
  • 5 teaspoons baking soda
  • 4 cups flour

Method

  • Pour All Bran and Bran Buds into a large bowl, cover with water and let soften for 10-15 minutes.
  • Preheat oven to 400'.
  • In another bowl cream together sugar, butter, eggs, milk and soda.
  • Add creamed mixture to bran and add flour.
  • Mix VERY well.
  • Spoon batter into muffin tins filling completely.
  • Bake for 18-20 minutes for regular sized muffins.
  • Cool on wire rack.
