Ingredients

  • 1 box (12 oz.) raisin bran or bran flakes
  • 3 c. sugar
  • 5 c. flour
  • 5 tsp. soda
  • 1 qt. buttermilk
  • 2 tsp. salt
  • 4 beaten eggs
  • 1 c. oil

Method

  • Blend flour, sugar, baking soda and salt.
  • Stir in cereal.
  • Add buttermilk, oil and eggs and blend until moistened.
  • Do not stir batter again!
  • Store in a covered non-metal bowl in refrigerator. May be stored up to six weeks.
  • When needed, fill lightly greased muffin pans 2/3 full.
  • Bake at 400° for 15 to 20 minutes.
