Ingredients
- 2 eggs
- 3 egg yolks
- 2 Tbsp. sugar
- 1 Tbsp. rich cream
- 1/2 tsp. salt
- 1 Tbsp. rum or brandy
- 1 c. plus 2 Tbsp. sifted flour
- oil or vegetable shortening (for frying)
- confectioners sugar
Method
- Beat eggs and egg yolks together until very light.
- Beat in sugar, cream, salt and liquor.
- Stir in flour.
- This dough should be soft.
- Knead dough on a floured board until smooth.
- Cover dough and let it stand for 10 minutes.
- Roll the dough out until it is very thin, about 1/8 inch.
