Ingredients

  • 1 can ready to spread chocolate icing
  • 1 c. chopped nuts
  • 1 devil's food cake mix
  • 1 1/4 c. water
  • 1/3 c. oil
  • 3 eggs

Method

  • Heat oven to 350° and flour 13 x 9-inch pan.
  • Spread frosting into bottom of prepared pan.
  • Sprinkle nuts over frosting.
  • In large bowl blend cake mix, water, oil and eggs.
  • Beat 2 minutes at highest speed.
  • Pour batter over frosting in pan.
  • Bake 40 to 50 minutes or until toothpick inserted in center comes out clean. Immediately invert pan onto serving plate.
  • Serve warm or cold. Yields 12 servings.
