Ingredients
- 2 c. sugar
- 1 3/4 c. flour
- 3/4 c. Hershey's cocoa
- 2 tsp. baking soda
- 1 tsp. baking powder
- 1/2 tsp. salt
- 2 eggs
- 1 c. buttermilk or sour milk
- 1 c. strong black coffee, cooled
- 1/2 c. vegetable oil
- 1 tsp. vanilla
Method
- Preheat oven to 350°.
- Grease and flour 8-inch layer pans or one 13 x 9 x 2-inch pan.
- Sift together all the dry ingredients into a large bowl.
- Then add the wet ingredients.
- Stir to blend. Then mix at medium speed for 2 minutes.
- (Note:
- The batter will be thin.)
