Ingredients
- 2 pkg. dry yeast
- 1 c. warm water (115~)
- 2 Tbsp. sugar
- 3/4 c. canola oil
- 2 c. buttermilk
- 1 tsp. soda
- 5 to 8 c. self-rising flour
Method
- Dissolve yeast in water, add rest of ingredients and mix until dough makes a ball.
- Knead lightly until smooth.
- Pinch off dough into little balls to make biscuits.
- Place in iron skillet with a little oil in bottom, turn dough once to have oily side up.
- Bake at 425° for 20 minutes or until golden brown.
- This dough will keep in refrigerator up to 3 weeks.
