Ingredients

  • 2 c. sifted all-purpose flour
  • 1 Tbsp. baking powder
  • 1 tsp. salt
  • 1/3 c. oil
  • 2/3 c. milk

Method

  • Sift flour, baking powder and salt into mixing bowl.
  • Pour oil and milk into a measuring cup; do not mix.
  • Pour all at once into flour.
  • Stir with a fork until mixture forms a ball.
  • Lightly knead dough 10 times.
  • Roll out between sheets of wax paper (if work surface is damp, paper won't slip).
  • Cut out biscuits with a 2-inch cutter and place on an ungreased baking sheet.
  • Bake at 475° for 10 to 15 minutes.
  • Makes about 16 biscuits.
