Ingredients

  • 18 1/2 oz. German chocolate cake mix
  • 14 oz. can sweetened condensed milk
  • 12 oz. carton frozen whipped topping, thawed
  • 1 c. semi-sweet chocolate chips
  • 1/2 to 1 c. caramel sauce
  • 3 Heath bars, crushed

Method

  • Heat oven to 350°.
  • Grease and flour 9 x 13-inch pan.
  • Prepare cake mix as directed on package.
  • Pour into prepared pan.
  • After 10 minutes of baking, sprinkle with chocolate chips.
  • Continue baking until cake is done.
  • While cake is still hot, poke holes in it about 1-inch apart with handle of wooden spoon.
  • Pour sweetened condensed milk over cake.
  • Then pour caramel sauce over cake and especially into holes.
  • Let cool.
  • (Can put in refrigerator for 1 hour.)
  • Top with whipped cream and crushed Heath bars.
  • Makes 12 to 16 servings.
  • Keep in refrigerator.
