Ingredients
- 1 (9-inch) unbaked pie shell
- 1/2 c. sugar
- 1/4 c. butter or margarine, melted
- 3 eggs, well beaten
- 1 c. light Karo syrup
- 1 1/2 c. pecan pieces
- 3/4 tsp. vanilla
- dash of salt
Method
- Preheat oven to 350°.
- Mix together all ingredients and pour into unbaked pie shell.
- Place in preheated oven.
- Lower heat to 325° and bake 50 to 60 minutes or until set.
- Remove from oven and set on wire rack to cool.
- Yields 8 servings.
