Ingredients

  • 3 lb. chuck beef, cubed
  • 2 tsp. meat tenderizer
  • 1/2 tsp. salt
  • 1/2 tsp. pepper
  • 1/2 tsp. thyme
  • 3 c. water
  • 1 can cream of celery soup
  • 1 can cream of mushroom soup
  • 1 tsp. Kitchen Bouquet
  • 1 large onion, chopped
  • 2 Tbsp. parsley flakes

Method

  • Sprinkle
  • meat tenderizer,
  • pepper,
  • salt and thyme on beef. Turn
  • meat several
  • times to coat evenly.
  • In roaster oven,
  • or large Corning dish, cook, uncovered, in oven at 400° for
  • 1 hour to brown, turning only once.
  • Add remaining ingredients,
  • stirring thoroughly.
  • Cook, uncovered, at 350° for 1 1/2 to 2 hours or until tender.
  • Serve over rice.
