Ingredients

  • 1/2 lb. ground beef
  • 1 tsp. monosodium glutamate
  • 1/2 tsp. salt
  • 1/4 tsp. chili powder
  • 1/8 tsp. garlic powder
  • 1/2-inch cooking oil in skillet
  • 12 to 14 soft

Method

  • Season beef with monosodium glutamate, salt, chili powder and garlic powder.
  • Heat the skillet.
  • Put raw beef mixture in center of tortillas, and fold over, drop into hot oil and fry for 1 minute and 30 seconds on each side.
  • Remove from oil and drain on paper towel.
  • Stuff remaining open space with shredded lettuce and chopped tomato.
  • Yields 12 to 14 servings.
