Ingredients

  • 1 pound ground beef
  • 1/2 cup fresh breadcrumbs
  • 1 red onion grated
  • 1 egg
  • 2 tablespoons fresh flat leaf parsley chopped, plus extra to serve
  • 1 tablespoon barbecue sauce
  • 1 clove garlic minced
  • 1 tablespoon olive oil
  • mashed potatoes
  • green beans
  • gravy

Method

  • Combine ground beef, breadcrumbs, onion, egg, parsley, barbecue sauce and garlic. Season. Shape into 8 flattened rissoles. Place on a baking tray and chill for 15 mins.
  • Heat oil in a large frying pan over medium heat. Fry rissoles for 4-5 mins per side, until golden and cooked through. Drain on paper towels.
  • Serve with mashed potatoes, green beans and gravy. Garnish with extra chopped parsley.
