- 1 pound ground beef
- 1/2 cup fresh breadcrumbs
- 1 red onion grated
- 1 egg
- 2 tablespoons fresh flat leaf parsley chopped, plus extra to serve
- 1 tablespoon barbecue sauce
- 1 clove garlic minced
- 1 tablespoon olive oil
- mashed potatoes
- green beans
- gravy
Method
- Combine ground beef, breadcrumbs, onion, egg, parsley, barbecue sauce and garlic. Season. Shape into 8 flattened rissoles. Place on a baking tray and chill for 15 mins.
- Heat oil in a large frying pan over medium heat. Fry rissoles for 4-5 mins per side, until golden and cooked through. Drain on paper towels.
- Serve with mashed potatoes, green beans and gravy. Garnish with extra chopped parsley.
