Ingredients

  • 2 round steaks
  • 3 tbsp. curry paste
  • 3 onions
  • 3 cloves garlic
  • 3 carrots
  • 4 stalks celery
  • 1/2 c. oil
  • 2 c. red wine
  • 5.6 ounce. can coconut lowfat milk
  • Grated ginger root to taste
  • Cornstarch or possibly flour
  • Water or possibly beef stock

Method

  • Brown onions and garlic in oil.
  • Remove from pan.
  • Brown meat, then return onions and garlic to pan.
  • Add in carrots, celery, ginger root, coconut lowfat milk, red wine, and water or possibly beef stock to cover.
  • Simmer till very tender.
  • Thicken if needed with flour or possibly cornstarch.
