Ingredients

  • 2 (5 lb) beef brisket (totaling about 10 lbs.)
  • lawrey's seasoning salt
  • garlic powder
  • pepper

Method

  • preheat oven to 275 degrees fahrenheit.
  • Place briskets in pan fat side up in foiled pan.
  • Do NOT add water.
  • Sprinkle with garlic, pepper and salt.
  • Cover and cook for 6 hours.
  • Uncover for last hour of the cooking time.
  • It makes its own gravy.
  • If you think you will need more gravy, you can add a little water to the pan drippings and flavor with boullion, garlic and pepper.
  • Before slicing, scrape the fat layer off the top of the meat.
  • Cut against the grain of the meat.
