Ingredients

  • 1 lb. beef (London broil)
  • 5 Tbsp. soy sauce
  • 1/4 c. cornstarch
  • 5 Tbsp. vegetable oil
  • 1 tsp. grated gingerroot
  • 2 c. beef broth
  • 2 c. rice
  • 1/4 c. oyster sauce
  • 6 c. broccoli
  • 1/4 c. water

Method

  • Cut partially frozen steak across grain, diagonally, into thin slices.
  • Cut slices in 1 1/2-inch strips.
  • Combine 3 tablespoons soy sauce, 2 tablespoons cornstarch, 2 tablespoons oil and gingerroot.
  • Stir in meat strips.
  • Cover and refrigerate about 2 hours.
  • Stir together broth, remaining 2 tablespoons soy sauce, remaining 2 tablespoons cornstarch and oyster sauce; set aside.
