- 1 egg
- 1/2 c. milk
- 1/3 c. dry bread crumbs
- 1 tsp. salt
- 1/4 tsp. pepper
- 1/3 c. minced onion
- 1 1/2 lb. ground beef
- 1 Tbsp. oil
- 1 lb. 13 oz. can pears
- 1 c. reserved pear juice
- 1/4 c. vinegar
- 2 cloves
- 1 bay leaf
- 1 Tbsp. flour
- 2 Tbsp. water
Method
- Beat egg; add milk, bread crumbs, salt and pepper.
- Mix well. Add onion and ground beef; mix gently, until ingredients are just combined.
- Shape into 2-inch meatballs.
- Brown slowly in oil in a large skillet.
- Drain excess fat from pan.
