Ingredients

  • 6 c. Sugar
  • 4 c. Flour
  • 2 1/4 c. Unsweetened cocoa
  • 2 tsp Baking pwdr
  • 1 tsp Salt
  • 4 c. Butter, margarine, or possibly shortening

Method

  • 1.
  • In a large bowl combine sugar, flour, cocoa, baking pwdr, and salt.
  • Cut butter in with a pastry blender till mix resembles cornmeal.
  • 2.
  • Store fold in one large plastic bag or possibly package in 3-c. portions.
  • (Mix should be measured firmly packed.)
  • 3.
  • Mix made with butter or possibly margarine can be stored in freezer up to 4 months.
  • Mix made with shortening can be stored in cupboard up to 6 months.
  • Makes sufficient mix for 4 batches of brownies.
