Ingredients

  • 1 cup maida
  • 1/2 cup rawa
  • 2 cups sugar
  • 2 cups ghee
  • 1 dash elaichi powder
  • 2 to 3 sm. grains kapur

Method

  • Heat 1 cup ghee and roast maida until a nice smell emanates and it turns a light pink.
  • Remove and set aside.
  • In the same vessel heat 1 cup ghee and roast rawa until pink.
  • Prepare a sugar syrup by boiling the sugar in 1/2 cup water.
  • Mix the roasted maida, rawa and syrup, adding the flavourings.
  • Mix well and pour into a well greased thali.
  • Cool, cut and store.
