Ingredients

  • 4 lb. chicken pieces
  • 3 c. chopped onion
  • 3 Tbsp. margarine
  • 3/4 c. ketchup
  • 1/3 c. vinegar
  • 3 Tbsp. brown sugar
  • 1/2 c. water
  • 2 tsp. prepared mustard
  • 1/4 tsp. salt
  • 1 Tbsp. Worcestershire sauce

Method

  • Heat small amount of oil in large skillet.
  • Fry chicken until brown.
  • Drain and place chicken in a baking dish.
  • In a saucepan, saute onion in butter until tender.
  • Stir in remaining ingredients; simmer for 15 minutes.
  • Pour over chicken.
  • Bake at 350° for about 1 hour, or until chicken is done.
  • Baste occasionally.
