- 1 lb. lean ground beef
- 1/2 c. milk
- 1 c. dry bread crumbs
- 1 tsp. salt
- 1 tsp. pepper
- 1/2 c. chopped onions
- 1/2 c. chopped green pepper
- 1/4 c. vinegar
- 1/4 c. water
- 3 Tbsp. sugar
- 1 1/2 tsp. water chestnuts
- 1/2 c. catsup
Method
- Use a three or four pound boneless sirloin or rump roast. Boil on stove top until very tender.
- Cool and break up into small pieces.
- Take out all fatty pieces.
- Add enough catsup to moisten well and reheat.
- Serve on sandwich buns.
