Ingredients

  • 3 lb. fryer
  • 3 Tbsp. catsup
  • 2 Tbsp. Worcestershire sauce
  • 2 Tbsp. lemon juice
  • 5 Tbsp. brown sugar
  • 2 Tbsp. butter
  • 2 Tbsp. vinegar
  • 4 Tbsp. water
  • 1 tsp. dry mustard
  • 1 tsp. paprika
  • 1/4 tsp. red pepper
  • 1/2 tsp. chili powder
  • 1 tsp. salt

Method

  • Cut fryer then add
  • salt and pepper.
  • Combine all sauce ingredients
  • and dip each
  • piece
  • of
  • chicken
  • in
  • the
  • sauce. Grease a brown paper
  • bag
  • inside
  • with
  • vegetable oil.
  • Place chicken in the bag, skin
  • side down.
  • Pour the remaining sauce in the bag.
  • Fold tightly
  • and
  • place
  • in roaster with lid and bake, uncovered, 15 minutes at 350°.
  • Then put lid on and bake 1 hour at 400°.
