Ingredients

  • 2 1/4 c. crushed vanilla wafers
  • 1/4 lb. margarine, melted
  • 2 eggs
  • 1 tsp. vanilla
  • 2 c. powdered sugar
  • 1/4 lb. butter or margarine
  • 4 bananas, sliced lengthwise
  • 1 (No. 2) can pineapple chunks, drained
  • Cool Whip
  • chopped nuts
  • maraschino cherries

Method

  • Combine cookie crumbs and melted margarine. Press into oblong cake pan. Combine eggs, vanilla, powdered sugar and 1/4 pound butter. Beat for 2 minutes and spread over crumbs in pan. Press sliced bananas and pineapple into filling. Top with Cool Whip. Garnish with chopped nuts and cherries. Chill.
