Ingredients

  • 1 stick soft margarine
  • 3/4 c. brown sugar
  • 3/4 c. white sugar
  • 2 eggs
  • 1 tsp. vanilla
  • 1 1/2 c. quick oats
  • 1 3/4 c. all-purpose flour
  • 1 tsp. soda
  • 3/4 tsp. salt
  • 2 c. mashed bananas
  • 1/2 tsp. cinnamon
  • 1/4 tsp. nutmeg
  • 2/3 c. raisins
  • 2/3 c. chopped walnuts

Method

  • Blend in a large bowl the margarine, sugars, eggs, vanilla and bananas.
  • Sift together flour, soda, salt, cinnamon and nutmeg. Add flour mixture alternately with mashed bananas, raw oats, raisins and walnuts.
  • Bake in a well greased pan at 375° for 25 to 30 minutes.
  • Cool 10 minutes and cut into squares.
