Ingredients

  • Garlic (3-6 gloves) (minced)
  • 1 large shallot (minced)
  • yellow bell pepper
  • Balsamic Vinegar
  • Bacon
  • Brown Sugar
  • Green beans
  • Salt & pepper
  • Parmesan Cheese

Method

  • I start with cleaned and cut green beans. The thinner the better for this dish in my opinion.
  • Add some oil to a saute pan and add the green beans.
  • To the pan add the balsamic, the minced garlic and shallot. Add a large handful of brown sugar to the beans.
  • Do not cook completely. Just until they get a little coat.
  • Remove from pan and add to baking dish.
  • Add your bacon and bell pepper to saute pan. When done add to baking dish with beans and toss.
  • Pour in some more balsamic and then sprinkle with more brown sugar. Salt and Pepper.
  • Cover with the Parmesan. Once the crust is golden brown it's ready to serve and plate.
