Ingredients
- 1 box phyllo dough
- 1 can walnuts (8 oz.), chopped
- 3/4 c. sugar
- 2 tsp. cinnamon
- 1/2 to 1 tsp. nutmeg
- 1/8 tsp. cloves
- 2 blocks butter (1 c.)
Method
- Mix together sugar, cinnamon, nutmeg, cloves and walnuts. Melt butter in small pot.
- Lay several sheets of phyllo dough in 9 x 13-inch pan (or your largest pan).
- Spread some of the walnut mixture on the dough.
- Drizzle butter on walnuts.
- Continue alternating dough, walnuts, butter.
- Top layer should be dough. Cut into squares or diamonds.
- Bake at 300° for 1 hour.
