Ingredients
- 2 c. sifted flour
- 1 tsp. salt
- 4 tsp. baking powder
- 3/4 to 1 c. milk or water
- 2 Tbsp. Crisco
Method
- Sift all dry ingredients.
- Cut in Crisco with knife until crumbly.
- Add liquid ingredients.
- Mix until a thick batter is obtained.
- Drop by 1 tablespoon spoonfuls into boiling soup or stew.
- Cover tightly.
- Cook about 10 to 12 minutes until dumplings rise.
