Ingredients
- 4 c. flour
- 2 sticks oleo
- 4 tsp. baking powder (heaping)
- 2/3 to 3/4 c. buttermilk
- 1/2 tsp. cream of tartar
- 1 tsp. salt
Method
- Sift flour, baking powder, tartar and salt; cut in shortening. Add milk.
- Mix until dough follows fork around bowl.
- Turn out on floured surface, knead gently and roll out.
- Cut and bake on ungreased sheet 12 to 15 minutes at 450°.
