Ingredients

  • 16 ounces semi sweet chocolate
  • 3/4 cup brown sugar light, packed
  • 1/4 cup butter or margarine
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla
  • 2 eggs
  • 1/2 cup flour
  • 1/4 teaspoon baking powder
  • 2 cups nuts chopped

Method

  • Heat oven to 350 . Coarsely chop 8 squares of the chocolate, set aside. Microwave remaining 8 squares of chocolate in large microwave safe bowl on HIGH 1-2 minutes. Stire until chocolate is melted and smooth. Stir in sugar, butter, eggs and vanilla. Stir in flour and baking powder.
  • Fold in remaining chocolate and nuts. Drop by 1 cupfuls onto ungreased cookie sheet. Bake 12-13 minutes.
