Ingredients
- 23 cups Butter
- 23 cups All-purpose Flour
- 7 cups Milk
- 4 whole Baked Potatoes, Baked, Cooled, Peeled, And Cubed
- 4 whole Scallions, Thinly Sliced
- 1- 1/4 cup Mild Cheddar Cheese, Shredded
- 12 strips Bacon, Cooked, Drained, And Crumbled
- 1 cup Sour Cream
Method
- In a large Dutch oven or stockpot, melt the butter over low heat.
- Stir in flour.
- Continue to heat and stir until smooth.
- Gradually add milk, stirring constantly, until sauce has thickened.
- Add potatoes and scallions.
- Bring to a boil, stirring constantly.
- Reduce heat and simmer for 10 minutes.
- Add cheese, bacon, and sour cream.
- Stir until cheese is melted.
- Season to taste with salt and pepper.
- Serve immediately.
