- 1 1/2 lb. ground beef
- 1/2 lb. mild sausage (optional)
- 4 c. tomato juice with 3 Tbsp. sugar
- 2 small cans tomato sauce
- 1 small can tomato paste
- 1 1/2 tsp. garlic salt
- 1/2 tsp. oregano
- 3 bay leaves (remove before adding to pasta)
- small box mostaccioli
Method
- Brown sausage and hamburger and drain.
- Add to other ingredients and simmer while cooking mostaccioli.
- Drain pasta. Mix with sauce.
- Add part of mixture to baking dish and cover with grated Mozzarella cheese.
- Add remaining mixture and cover with a generous layer of cheese.
- Bake, uncovered, in 350° oven until cheese is golden brown, about 30 minutes.
