Ingredients

  • 1 lb. elbow macaroni
  • 4 Tbsp. butter
  • 4 Tbsp. flour
  • 2 tsp. salt
  • 5 c. milk
  • 3 c. shredded Cheddar cheese
  • grated Parmesan cheese to sprinkle

Method

  • Boil 1 pound of Mueller's elbow macaroni, drain and set aside. Melt butter in a pot over low flame.
  • Slowly add flour and salt and blend.
  • Stir constantly with milk added, and cook slowly over low heat until sauce thickens a little.
  • Add Cheddar cheese.
  • Mix with macaroni.
  • Place in a large baking dish.
  • Sprinkle with Parmesan cheese.
  • Bake at 375° for 25 minutes.
