Ingredients
- 3 to 4 large onions, sliced
- 1/3 to 1/2 c. butter
- 2 cans beef broth
- 2 cans water
- 1 Tbsp. Worcestershire sauce
- 6 (1-inch) slices French bread, toasted
- 1 slice each: Swiss cheese and Mozzarella cheese
- Parmesan cheese, grated
Method
- Simmer onions in butter for 30 minutes, covered.
- Add broth, water and Worcestershire sauce.
- Simmer 30 minutes longer.
