Ingredients
- 5 eggs, beaten slightly
- 1/2 tsp. vanilla
- 1/8 tsp. salt
- 2 1/2 c. milk
- 1/4 c. sugar
Method
- Dissolve sugar and salt in milk.
- Add vanilla.
- Bring to a boil.
- Add to eggs and mix lightly.
- Place in custard cups. Place cups in pan of hot water (not boiling).
- Bake at 350° for 20 to 30 minutes.
- Center should not be quite set.
- Custard cooks after removal from oven.
- A knife inserted between center and outer edge should come out clean.
- Cool.
