Ingredients
- 3 eggs
- 1/3 c. plus 1 Tbsp. sugar
- 1/4 tsp. salt
- 2 c. milk, scalded
- 1 tsp. vanilla
- nutmeg
Method
- Beat eggs. Add sugar, salt and vanilla. Add scalded milk gradually, stirring constantly. Pour into a lightly buttered 1-quart baking dish. Fill a 9 x 13 baking pan 1/3 full with warm water. Sprinkle nutmeg on the custard. Set custard in the pan. Bake at 325° for 50 minutes. Makes 5 servings.
