Ingredients

  • 2 (7 oz.) cans minced clams
  • 2 c. milk
  • 24 soda crackers, crushed
  • 1 small onion, minced
  • 1 small green pepper, minced
  • 1/4 c. butter or margarine
  • 1/2 tsp. Worcestershire sauce
  • salt
  • pepper
  • 4 eggs, well beaten

Method

  • Pour milk over crackers; let stand until milk is absorbed, about 20 minutes.
  • Cook onion and green pepper in butter until tender, but not browned.
  • Add to cracker mixture.
  • Add clams with liquid, Worcestershire sauce, salt and pepper to taste and eggs; mix well.
  • Pour into greased 2-quart casserole.
  • Bake at 350° for 50 minutes, or until set.
  • Yields 6 servings.
