Ingredients

  • 4 whole chicken breasts, split, skinned and boned
  • 1/4 tsp. salt
  • 1/8 tsp. pepper
  • 1 (16 oz.) can sauerkraut, well drained
  • 4 (6 x 4-inch) slices Swiss cheese
  • 1 1/4 c. Thousand Island salad dressing

Method

  • Preheat oven to 325°.
  • Place chicken in single layer in greased baking pan.
  • Sprinkle with salt and pepper.
  • Spoon sauerkraut over chicken.
  • Arrange cheese over sauerkraut.
  • Pour dressing over top. Cover pan and bake about 1 1/2 hours or until chicken is tender. Makes 6 to 8 servings.
