Ingredients

  • 5 Tbsp. butter
  • 1/2 c. onion, chopped
  • 1/4 c. flour
  • dash of pepper
  • 1 tsp. salt
  • 2 c. chicken broth
  • 2 to 3 c. chicken, cooked, diced
  • 1 c. carrots, cooked, diced
  • 1 c. frozen peas, cooked
  • 1 c. potatoes, cooked and diced

Method

  • In butter saute onions until soft, but not brown.
  • Add flour, salt and pepper.
  • Gradually stir in broth; cook until sauce starts to thicken.
  • Place chicken and vegetables in 2 quart casserole. Pour broth mixture over chicken and vegetables.
  • Top with ready mix biscuits or use a butter crust.
  • Bake 375° for 25 minutes or until biscuits are done.
  • Serves 6.
