Ingredients

  • 2 broiler size chickens (about 2 lb. each), cut in half
  • 6 or 8 medium potatoes, cut into 4 parts
  • 6 tender carrots
  • 4 small onions
  • 1 tsp. salt
  • 1/4 tsp. black pepper
  • 1 or 1 1/2 c. cream
  • 1/2 stick butter

Method

  • Slice the butter over the top (1/4 cup of butter).
  • Place raw vegetables in a roaster with a tight fitting top.
  • Place chicken halves on top of vegetables.
  • Sprinkle with salt and pepper and half and half cream over the ingredients.
  • Bake at 350° for 1 hour.
