Ingredients
- 2 sticks oleo
- 2 c. brown sugar
- 1/2 c. corn syrup (light or dark)
- 1 tsp. salt
- 1/2 tsp. baking soda
- 1 tsp. vanilla
- 1 c. salted peanuts
- 6 qt. popcorn, popped
Method
- Melt butter.
- Stir in brown sugar, syrup and salt.
- Bring to a boil, stirring constantly.
- Remove from heat.
- Stir in baking soda and vanilla.
- Gradually pour over popped corn and peanuts.
- Mix well with greased hands.
- Turn into 2 large shallow pans.
- Bake at 250° for 1 hour, stirring every 15 minutes.
- Remove from oven. Cool.
- Break apart and store in covered containers.
