- 1/2 c. cottage cheese
- 1/2 avocado, peeled and cut in pieces
- 1 Tbsp. grated fresh onion
- 2 tsp. fresh lemon juice
- 1/2 tsp. Worcestershire sauce
- 3 drops Tabasco
- 3/4 c. chopped cooked chicken
- 1/4 c. chopped celery
- party rye slices, toasted and buttered
- pimento
Method
- Put cottage cheese and avocados into electric blender and blend until smooth.
- Blend in onion, lemon juice, Worcestershire sauce and Tabasco.
- Stir in chicken and celery.
- Chill several hours or overnight.
- To serve, spread about 1 tablespoon mixture on each rye toast slice.
- Garnish with pimento.
- Makes about 2 dozen appetizers.
