Ingredients

  • 1 package (about 5 Oz. Package) Au Gratin Potatoes
  • 1 can (14 Oz. Can) Chicken Broth
  • 3 cups Water
  • 1 cup Diced Carrots
  • 1 cup Diced Celery
  • 4 ounces, weight Cheddar Cheese
  • 1/2 cups Cream Or Milk
  • Cracked Pepper To Taste
  • Parsley, To Garnish

Method

  • Mix potato slices, cheese sauce mix (from the potato package), chicken broth and water together in a large saucepan. Add carrots and celery. Heat to boiling, stirring occasionally. Reduce heat, cover and simmer 25 minutes or until potatoes are tender.
  • Add cheddar cheese and stir until melted. You can add more or less cheese to your liking. We like more rather than less. Remove from heat, stir in cream. Add some cracked pepper and garnish with parsley. Serve with warm French bread and butter.
