Ingredients

  • 1/4 c. butter or margarine
  • 4 Tbsp. flour
  • 2 c. liquid (asparagus juice and milk)
  • 1 c. grated Cheddar cheese
  • 2 c. spaghetti
  • pimentos and green pepper to taste
  • 1 large can asparagus

Method

  • Make cheese sauce with butter, flour, liquid and grated cheese (I prefer sharp cheese).
  • Add pimentos and diced green pepper. Grease casserole dish.
  • Put in a layer of spaghetti and layer of asparagus and pour part of cheese sauce over it.
  • Repeat the layers of spaghetti and asparagus and remainder of cheese sauce. Cook at 350° for about 45 minutes or so.
