Ingredients
- 2 large cans sweet peas
- 1 stalk celery
- 1 medium onion, chopped
- 1 clove garlic, minced
- 4 stalks asparagus, chopped
- 3 slices bacon, chopped
- 1 medium potato or turnip, chopped
- leftover ham with bone or bone shank
- 1 pt. half and half
Method
- Saute bacon, onion, celery and garlic in medium pot.
- Mash peas in liquid and add, along with asparagus, bacon, potato or turnip and ham.
- Add a pinch of pepper, pinch of parsley and a pinch of thyme.
- Remove from heat.
- Add half and half.
