Ingredients

  • 1 large onion, chopped
  • 1 tsp. chopped fresh garlic
  • 1 Tbsp. olive oil
  • 4 (14 oz.) cans artichoke hearts, drained and quartered
  • 1 c. grated sharp Cheddar cheese
  • 1/2 c. grated Romano cheese
  • 3 drops hot sauce
  • 1 c. seasoned bread crumbs
  • butter

Method

  • In large saucepan, saute onion and garlic in olive oil.
  • Add quartered artichokes and stir over low heat for 15 minutes. Continue to cook and stir in Cheddar and Romano cheeses.
  • Add hot sauce, then add bread crumbs and mix well.
  • Pour into greased 2-quart baking dish; sprinkle with additional bread crumbs and dot with butter.
  • Bake at 300° for 30 minutes.
