Ingredients

  • 14 ounces artichoke hearts, drained and sliced
  • 3 tomatoes, sliced
  • 1/2 cup basil leaves, chopped
  • 1/4 teaspoon salt
  • 1/4 teaspoon fresh ground black pepper
  • 1 1/2 cups fresh breadcrumbs
  • 1/2 cup swiss cheese, grated
  • 2 teaspoons olive oil

Method

  • Preheat oven to 400 degrees F
  • In a greased gratin dish, overlap artichoke and tomato slices.
  • Sprinkle with chopped basil and season with salt and pepper.
  • Combine breadcrumbs and Swiss cheese; sprinkle over vegetables and drizzle with olive oil.
  • Bake until top is golden, about 25 minutes.
