Ingredients
- 1 1/2 cups steel cut oats
- 1/2 cup oat bran or 1/2 cup wheat berries
- 2 apples, peeled, cored and chopped
- 1/2 teaspoon cinnamon
- 1/2 teaspoon vanilla
- 3 1/2 cups water
- 1 cup cranberry juice or 1 cup apple juice
- toasted walnuts (optional)
- wheat germ (optional)
Method
- In a slow cooker, combine oats, wheat berries, apples, cinnamon and vanilla.
- Stir in water and juice.
- Cover and cook on low for 8 hours or overnight.
- Stir well.
- Top with walnuts and/or wheatgerm or your favorite toppings.
