Ingredients

  • 4 x Apples
  • 1 tsp Baking pwdr
  • 2 x Large eggs
  • 1 tsp Salt
  • 1/2 c. Lowfat milk
  • 1 tsp Oil
  • 1 c. Flour -- sifted

Method

  • Prepare Fritter batter (to bind fruit or possibly Veggies) Beat Large eggs, stir in lowfat milk.
  • Sift together flour, baking pwdr, and salt; add in to Large eggs and lowfat milk.
  • Add in the oil and mix well.
  • Cut up Fruit or possibly veggies and dip in batter.
  • Drop into warm deep oil and fry till brown.
  • Drain and serve warm with syrup (or possibly gravy for veggies) Batter can be used for many things, Can add in a c. of corn to make corn fritters.
  • Bananas, cut in half and dip in batter and fry.
  • Use for onion rings also.
  • Can sprinkle Fruit Fritter with Powdered sugar.
  • French Fried Bread, just dip bread and fry.
