Ingredients

  • 4 fresh apples, peeled and cored
  • 1/2 tsp. cinnamon
  • 1/2 c. brown sugar
  • 1/2 c. chopped walnuts
  • 1/2 c. raisins
  • unbaked pie pastry
  • 1 c. sugar
  • 1/4 c. red cinnamon drops
  • 1/2 c. water

Method

  • Peel and core apples.
  • Roll out four 7-inch circles of pie crust.
  • Place apple in center.
  • Fill center of apple with brown sugar, raisins, cinnamon and walnut mixture.
  • Place additional tablespoon of mixture in circle around apple.
  • Pull up pastry and pinch to seal.
  • Place in pan.
  • Bake at 350° for 30 minutes or until crust is golden brown.
