Ingredients
- 4 fresh apples, peeled and cored
- 1/2 tsp. cinnamon
- 1/2 c. brown sugar
- 1/2 c. chopped walnuts
- 1/2 c. raisins
- unbaked pie pastry
- 1 c. sugar
- 1/4 c. red cinnamon drops
- 1/2 c. water
Method
- Peel and core apples.
- Roll out four 7-inch circles of pie crust.
- Place apple in center.
- Fill center of apple with brown sugar, raisins, cinnamon and walnut mixture.
- Place additional tablespoon of mixture in circle around apple.
- Pull up pastry and pinch to seal.
- Place in pan.
- Bake at 350° for 30 minutes or until crust is golden brown.
