- 1 large egg
- 1/3 cup plain dry bread crumbs
- 1/4 cup yellow onion coarsely grated
- 1/4 cup Smucker's(R) Cider Apple Butter
- 2 tablespoons milk
- 2 teaspoons minced garlic
- 2 teaspoons Worcestershire sauce
- 1 1/2 teaspoons salt
- 1/2 teaspoon pepper
- 2 pounds meat loaf mixture or lean ground beef
- 1/4 cup Smucker's(R) Cider Apple Butter
- 1/4 cup ketchup
- 1 teaspoon apple cider vinegar
Method
- HEAT oven to 375°F.
- WHISK egg in large bowl. Stir in bread crumbs, onion, apple butter, milk, garlic, Worcestershire, salt and pepper until blended. Crumble meat into same bowl. Stir gently until blended.
- SHAPE meat mixture into a loaf. Place in 9 x 5-inch loaf pan. Bake 45 minutes.
- STIR apple butter, ketchup and vinegar in small bowl until blended.
- DRAIN fat off meat loaf, if necessary. Spread glaze over meat loaf. Bake an additional 15 minutes or until internal temperature reads at least 160°F. Let stand 5 minutes before slicing.
