Ingredients

  • 1 large egg
  • 1/3 cup plain dry bread crumbs
  • 1/4 cup yellow onion coarsely grated
  • 1/4 cup Smucker's(R) Cider Apple Butter
  • 2 tablespoons milk
  • 2 teaspoons minced garlic
  • 2 teaspoons Worcestershire sauce
  • 1 1/2 teaspoons salt
  • 1/2 teaspoon pepper
  • 2 pounds meat loaf mixture or lean ground beef
  • 1/4 cup Smucker's(R) Cider Apple Butter
  • 1/4 cup ketchup
  • 1 teaspoon apple cider vinegar

Method

  • HEAT oven to 375°F.
  • WHISK egg in large bowl. Stir in bread crumbs, onion, apple butter, milk, garlic, Worcestershire, salt and pepper until blended. Crumble meat into same bowl. Stir gently until blended.
  • SHAPE meat mixture into a loaf. Place in 9 x 5-inch loaf pan. Bake 45 minutes.
  • STIR apple butter, ketchup and vinegar in small bowl until blended.
  • DRAIN fat off meat loaf, if necessary. Spread glaze over meat loaf. Bake an additional 15 minutes or until internal temperature reads at least 160°F. Let stand 5 minutes before slicing.
