Ingredients
- 4 c. sliced, pared tart apples
- 1/4 c. orange juice
- 1 c. sugar
- 3/4 c. sifted all-purpose flour
- 1/2 tsp. ground nutmeg
- 1/2 c. butter
- dash of salt
Method
- Mound apples on buttered 9-inch pie plate.
- Sprinkle with orange juice. Combine other dry ingredients (sugar, flour, spice and salt). Cut in butter until crumb mixture. Cover apples. Bake at 375° for 40 minutes.
